FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Today, Cameron Bonesso, 21-year-old president of Ottawa-based consulting firm Constituent Manager Solutions and undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa, announced his intention to run for the position of Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) Trustee for Zone 10 in the upcoming Ontario municipal election this fall.

"I’m running because as a young person, I believe I can be a fresh voice on our community’s catholic school board" said Cameron. "Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's clear that many students have faced disruptions and difficulties with their own learning experience. My top priority as a candidate is advocating for increased funding for board-wide mental health programs for not only students, but staff as well. I encourage all residents of Zone 10 to visit my website cam4trustee.ca to learn more about me and my campaign platform."

Cameron first moved to Ottawa in 2018 to work at the House of Commons and study at the University of Ottawa. Having previously worked as a Special Advisor to a Member of Parliament, Cameron is a first-time candidate and is challenging incumbent Zone 10 trustee, Cindy Desclouds-Simpson, who represents wards 12, 13 and 14. The Ontario municipal election is scheduled for October 24th.
